What
type of computer will I need to run Construction Concepts?
A system with a
Pentium II processor (the speed of the processor really isn't a concern)
is necessary. At least 16 megabytes of RAM is recommended but more
memory will improve the overall performance. The program size is
approximately 20 megabytes and installation is smoother if at least 40
megabytes of disk space is available before beginning installation.
Is
Construction Concepts easy to use?
Our goal when developing Construction Concepts was to make a program
that would be thorough and easy to use. To run Construction Concepts a
minimal amount of data input is necessary and from they’re the user will
primarily be using the mouse to click buttons. We have preformatted all
of the Purchase Orders, have provided a duplicate button on many of the
forms to eliminate redundancy, and a significant amount of user input
data will automatically transfer to the necessary forms eliminating
human error and saving time. A database has been included for items such
as supplier/sub-contractor addresses, general contractor company
information, legal address, etc. eliminating any need to re-enter the
same information over and over again. We have also provided duplicating
features to make the program more efficient. On top of having all of
these features built in to the program, we also have preloaded the
program with a quick start tutorial sample project, including all forms
with sample information, and help tips. Finally, on line help is
available to reference those quick questions. So the bottom line is a
resounding, yes! Construction Concepts is very easy to use!
Does Construction Concepts allow for customization?
We realize that no two projects are exactly alike, so we allowed the
user vast flexibility in dealing with specialty situations. On the Cost
Variance form and the Job Control Chart we have provided a maintenance
section so line items may be deleted or added. On the Purchase Orders,
Change Orders and Return of Merchandise forms we have given the user the
option to use our preformatted specifications or create their own items.
The Contract Allowance Addendum, Closing Cost Form, Color Control Chart
and Light Fixture Chart all allow for the user to include "additional"
items not found on the preformatted report. Of course any addition will
insert into the report and generate a professional
looking
printed format. Each report is also stamped with the general contractors
heading information including company name, street address, city, state,
zip code, phone number and fax number. Signature blocks are customized
to include the company name and buyers name in most cases. If the
general contractor moves his office a simple edit will suffice to update
all of the printed reports with the new information.

How
long has your company been in the construction field?
Our corporate president has been in the building industry for over
thirty years. He has touched nearly every aspect of the industry from
material sales, to real estate, to consulting, to residential and
commercial development. With literally hundreds of single residence
homes as well as apartment complexes and commercial buildings, this
system has been tested and refined. We have simply taken the benefits of
technology and automated a business system that has been time tested.
What
kind of payment options is there?
You can purchase the software with your credit card, lease agreement,
check, and money order. (SEE ORDER TAB).
Is
Construction Concepts Year 2000 compliant?
The Construction Concepts software program is absolutely Year 2000
compliant. The program has been developed so that any user input year
requires all four digits. However, each user's individual system must be
Year 2000 compliant as well. Many of the forms are date stamped using
the built in date system on the PC itself. Therefore, the PC must be
Year 2000 compliant to ensure a smooth transition into the next
millennium.
What
kind of support is available?
The Construction Concepts program is easy to use; many of our past users
have not been concerned with support. However training support is
available, you will find information regarding training support on the
support tab and also on the order tab. We also will field questions
through e-mail using the
support@constructionconcepts.net address. Response will be immediate.
We
realize that on occasion customers find solutions to problems and would
like to share them with others. Consequently, we have created a "Product
News" page on this site that has responses to questions from fellow
users. We also have added a few helpful hints of our own that just might
be the answer to the question you have been looking for. Finally, we
have developed a preloaded quick start tutorial on all Versions of the
software that will guide the user through the complete system and answer
many questions the user may encounter. |
